I did it again!

For the third year in a row I sponsored a game at HarbourCats baseball. Grumpy Bum Pants Night is becoming a tradition. I set up a table and offer grumpy bum pants and the matching hats for sale. I threw out the first pitch and thus promoted the business. It is a ton of fun […]

Busy, busy, busy

The Out of Hand craft fair is on this weekend. The first two days have been very busy and I see no reason why it will not continue that way on Sunday. My crocheted snowflakes are flying off the hooks and headbands are best sellers as well. It is hard to realize that next weekend […]

Getting ready for the new season

I have been sorting headbands, boot toppers, fingerless gloves, and grumpy bum pants in preparation for the my first craft fair of the season. I will be at the Prospect Lake Hall next Saturday. Here’s to a good season. I am really excited about this year as I am only at four sales and will get […]

Grumpy Bum Night at HarbourCats baseball

I am putting my money where my mouth is. I am one of the sponsors at the HarbourCats game on July 22nd. I will be featuring my grumpy bum pants for babies on that evening. In case you don’t know, the HarbourCats are an amazing organization from ownership right down to the players and are […]

New logo

This is my new, updated logo. It is the same bear I have used for over 40 years, but has a modern look. Thanks to Graham Scholes for his redesign. It really does pay to know an artist who needs editing service. Long live the barter system.

Getting ready for next craft season

I have certainly not been idle since the last sale. I am now making boot toppers in single colours or two-colour reversible styles. Also added to my inventory are grumpy bum pants that I first made for my latest grandson. Basic styles come in pink, green or blue background, but custom colours are available.

Out of Hand Craft Fair a great success

What a weekend! It was my first time at the Out of Hand Fair and it was a great experience. I had a small Etsy Boutique booth – 8 feet x 4 feet -but it was large enough to showcase my slippers and headbands. I sold a few pairs of slippers – enough to justify […]

Second Sale a Success

My second sale of the season was Calico Christmas, held at Pacific Christian School. It was great to renew acquaintances with old customers and to meet new shoppers. The headbands seem to the “thing” this year as they were literally selling themselves. I am working this week on adding to my inventory so that I […]

First Sale of 2014

The first sale of the 2014 season is the First Chance Craft Fair at Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2. My booth is on the north wall, three spots from the corner. I will have my new headbands for sale for the first time.
