I did it again!

For the third year in a row I sponsored a game at HarbourCats baseball. Grumpy Bum Pants Night is becoming a tradition. I set up a table and offer grumpy bum pants and the matching hats for sale.

I threw out the first pitch and thus promoted the business.

It is a ton of fun and I plan to do it again next year. My daughter shot a movie of me and edited it for me. I admit to being useless at this level of detail.

The result made my day—and will for some time.

Busy, busy, busy

The Out of Hand craft fair is on this weekend. The first two days have been very busy and I see no reason why it will not continue that way on Sunday.

My crocheted snowflakes are flying off the hooks and headbands are best sellers as well.

It is hard to realize that next weekend is the end of my craft season. I will be at a Touch of Saltspring at the Panorama Rec Centre, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

New logo

This is my new, updated logo. It is the same bear I have used for over 40 years, but has a modern look. Thanks to Graham Scholes for his redesign. It really does pay to know an artist who needs editing service. Long live the barter system.

Getting ready for next craft season

I have certainly not been idle since the last sale. I am now making boot toppers in single colours or two-colour reversible styles. Also added to my inventory are grumpy bum pants that I first made for my latest grandson. Basic styles come in pink, green or blue background, but custom colours are available.

Out of Hand Craft Fair a great success

What a weekend! It was my first time at the Out of Hand Fair and it was a great experience. I had a small Etsy Boutique booth – 8 feet x 4 feet -but it was large enough to showcase my slippers and headbands. I sold a few pairs of slippers – enough to justify transporting them there – but the headbands were again the best seller. I sold almost 50 of them and was frantically making more as I sat there.

My daughter posted to Facebook and drew more customers to the fair and to Etsy. As a result, I sold more headbands online.

Next week is the final sale of the season for me. I will be at A Touch of Saltspring on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is usually a great sale so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Second Sale a Success

My second sale of the season was Calico Christmas, held at Pacific Christian School. It was great to renew acquaintances with old customers and to meet new shoppers. The headbands seem to the “thing” this year as they were literally selling themselves. I am working this week on adding to my inventory so that I will have enough for the last three sales this year.

First Sale of 2014

The first sale of the 2014 season is the First Chance Craft Fair at Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2. My booth is on the north wall, three spots from the corner. I will have my new headbands for sale for the first time.

Bed Buddies Gifts is online with a new page

I have just set up a new Word Press website for Bed Buddies Gifts. I hope to add the ability to order directly from the website as I learn more coding, but for now, the form must be printed off and mailed to me.
